Cradle for our new little one. The cradle was made by my dad 11 years ago for my oldest and each baby since has used it. The Clifford is a contribution by Z toward making his brother feel welcome. The blanket, I made for the baby with fabric selected by Z and a double row of crochet - my 1st attempt.
Other things we've worked on in the last month or so..... baskets and pillows.
So what's up next? Dresses for the girls and a vest for the boy. Also a diaper bag, an ABC quilt, and a carry bag for A's violin support. It's going to be a busy few weeks. My goal is to have everything, except all 4 dresses finished by Thanksgiving. The dresses, I think, will be a good last week project.
The fabric selected for dresses and a vest.
Welcome to a showcase of some of my creative ideas - sewing, crochet, cross-stitch, machine embroidery - who knows what you'll find. Enjoy!!

Projects for the week......
1st is a serger project. It's a basket with serged edges, a homemade bow - using the serger and inserting wire into the serged edge, and homemade napkins.
2nd project is a crochet edged baby blanket for a little boy.
3rd is a crochet belt.

Aprons and Culottes

Culottes for Girls - it only went down to a size 4, so I modified it slightly so it would be smaller. They are long. However, it is winter and so far, they haven't hampered standing up like long dresses do.
Girls Edwardian Apron - Christmas present for girls. Now the girls can help without messing up their clothes!! They are very excited. I think one is already planning/setting up the kitchen for lunch.

New Pattern Company???
Found a link today for a new pattern for girls/womens dresses. This pattern is based on The Sound of Music - when the couple is dancing in the rain - called Liesel's Dancing Dress. Looks beautiful - take a look for yourself Edelweiss Patterns. Now to finish the other dresses I have in the queue.....
